Filming the Maui Chocolate Tour

We were honored to be filmed for the Travel Channels Island Escape series which will air on July 3rd. I spent the last week at our Maui farm preparing for and shooting with them. What a great experience! It was tiring, but a lot of fun and watching their film team work was fascinating.

Our Santa Fe "Food of the Gods" Tour is modeled after the Maui tour but of course cacao does not grow in cold climates. So instead we have farming models and will have a factory tour to see how the beans are transformed into chocolate with the roasting, grinding , winnowing and tempering steps. You will still get to do this, small scale by hand, but the larger equipment for commercial production is also visible. We don't have that process to show in Maui.
