This past Saturday was our first Food of the Gods chocolate immersion workshop in Santa Fe. We were at capacity with 12 people and we had a blast. Everyone was engaged while we ground and pounded cacao beans to make a delicious drink. I was lucky to have a batch of Bren Tre beans from Vietnam so the drink was not only tasty but we had finished Ben Tre chocolate from Marou in our tasting as well . Everyone loved our chocolate from beans obtained in Brazil and they stacked up well against the other 6 superb chocolates we tasted. Having just come back from Chaco Canyon we were also eager to share more about its special connection to chocolate. Our 2 hours flew by and then some and we finally bid farewell to all the participants. what great, fun day. Thanks to all who participated!
Inspired by Chaco Canyon, Cacao Santa Fe has released a Chaco Pottery Shard collection of chocolate truffles with local and wild harvested fruits, berries, nuts, and spices in addition to its bean to bar chocolate.
