We currently offer a 1 hour Chocolate Factory Tour, Single origin chocolate tasting workshops, Historic Chocolate Drinking Chocolate Elixir workshops, Coffee Cupping , History Classes and our flagship  2 hour "Food of the Gods" Chocolate Immersion Workshop.  (descriptions can be found below and on the booking calendar for each course offering).

You can access the BOOKING Calendar on the top of our home page for dates and times of the Months events. ALL classes and tours require advance registration, we can not accommodate walk-ins. If you have a large group please call to enquire if we can accommodate you on shorter notice or a different day.

SPRING BREAK 2019    KIDS FREE OFFER !! Spring Break runs from March 1st to April 21st. 

Factory Tours can be booked from our home page.They are 1 hour, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 Am.We offer a free child's tour ( 13 and under) with a paying adult. Sign up yourself on line, and bring your child.

We have 2  other special KIDS FREE specials.

Our first is for our Family Chocolate Experience. This is perfect for the younger kids 5-11 years old. We learn about cacao, make our own bar and wrapper and learn a Mayan Folk tale about cacao. Each child must be accompanied by a paying adult. The kids free special is for up to 2 participating adults and 2 free kids.

The second special is for our 2 hour workshop, Food of the Gods. This is suitable for kids 8-16. Again one free child per paying adult. See descriptions below .

We cater to school groups and even workplace team building looking for a fun and  educational experience. Chocolate opens the door to discussions about world economics, poverty, farming challenges, human exploitation , food chain and shipping logistics, product labeling, marketing, product development and enjoyment. Our hands on making and tastings , sprinkled with history and manufacturing present a stimulating atmosphere for these discussions to take place.

Chocolate tastings are a wonderful way to educate your palate, while taking a culinary journey around the equator. A perfect activity for couples, friends and mom's or dad's looking for educational entertainment for their children. Who doesn't love Chocolate? Learn to distinguish Craft chocolate from Mass market chocolate and why and how to choose it. Learn a little chocolate history. We offer different types of tastings based on flights of origins, single origins & cacao percentage.  Its fun and entertaining and you'll certainly get your chocolate fix.

Our 2 hour Chocolate Immersion Workshop. We guarantee you will never look at chocolate the same way after participating in this fun hands- on chocolate experience.

Led by Master Chocolatier Melanie Boudar you will learn about the cacao tree where its grown, the challenges farmers face growing cacao and how it's harvested. What gives chocolate it's flavor? The post harvest practices like fermentation and drying of the beans and finally the critical roasting step which we do in our factory. Participants will crack, winnow and grind beans into a paste suitable to make a drinking chocolate. You will chose spices and sweetness , creating your own signature drink.

After enjoying your handiwork we will do a guided tasting of 7 unique chocolates from different origins, including chocolate grown in Hawaii, the only state in the US able to grow it.

Our time is sprinkled with interesting chocolate facts, an overview of Meso-American chocolate history , a tour of our working chocolate making equipment in the factory and the many adventures we've experienced on our quest for fine chocolate in Venezuela, Belize, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Europe.

 Typically Offered on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Content suitable for ages 8 and up. Cost is  $59 per person , discounted rate for children between 8 and 12. Follow the booking link to our calendar for exact times and direct booking.

Chocolate Factory Tour -  Our Chocolate factory tour is approx 45 minutes long and is an overview of the steps in manufacturing to turn cacao beans into eating chocolate. Good smells! Great tastes! Your factory tour includes lots of chocolate tasting of our single origin and inclusion bars.

Led by Derek or Melanie -. See and learn about the process of chocolate making in a one hour Guided tour of our Chocolate Production facility including roasting, winnowing, grinding, and tempering of Chocolate. Sample a variety of our hand made bars or other products produced on this equipment.

Tours are offered most Saturdays at 11:00AM. Limited to 10 people. Cost $10.00 per person, children 12 and under free if accompanied by a paying adult. (1 child per adult).

Historic Drinking Chocolate Elixir Workshop (NEW)

Led by Chocolate historian Mark J Scisenti. This is a hands- on class. You will learn and taste history in this 1 1/2 hour workshop. Be prepared for a mind bending experience with hydrosols, chilis, spices , herbs and house made 100% chocolate. Workshops are rotated every Wednesday throughout the month with one style of history and presentation per workshop. A powerpoint of slides and recipe is included. Choose MesoAmerican, Ancestral Puebloan, Historic European or Colonial New Mexico era drinking chocolates.


Coffee Workshops 

Led by Derek - Chocolate Maker and Roast Master Class will cover various topics in coffee evaluation and appreciation.
Subject will change and only one subject will be covered per class
Subjects include:
-cupping and evaluation
-roasting profiles
- espresso preparation and technique
- Brewing options and characteristics

These workshops are offered once a month on Saturday at 11:00AM. Limited to 10 people. Cost $10.00 per person



The History of Chocolate -    BOOK HERE

Pre Colombian to Colonial New Mexico - Led by Mark J. Sciscenti, Chocolate Historian - This two-hour lecture on the history of chocolate includes a PowerPoint presentation and sampling of several historic drinking chocolates. The following topics will be covered:

• Botanical and Ecological sources of chocolate;
• The cultural and traditional uses of chocolate during the Pre-Columbian times by the Mesoamericans
- the Maya, Zapotec and Mexica (Aztec) peoples;
• Southwestern Ancestral Pueblo Indian use of chocolate;
• Chocolate use during the Spanish Colonial and the Colonial New Mexican period

Tours are offered alternate Saturdays at 1:00 pm and once a month on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 pm. Limited to 10 people. Cost $39.00 per person.

Chocolate Tasting Flight-

Join us on a chocolate tasting Flight to discover the differences in Single origins around the world. Featuring  7 fine Craft Chocolate Makers and chocolate from Vietnam, Bolivia, Ecuador, Madagascar, Peru, Hawaii and Venezuela.  These classes can be booked as a special event for your group.

Girlfriend's Day Out & Special Event Parties

Looking for a fun girlfriend getaway day? ( Men too, we've got something for you) Let us design a fun afternoon filled with chocolate from a guided to tasting or making your own truffles, spend 3 hours in chocolate bliss and take something home. Customized events require 8 or more people and start at $60/per person. 

 For a super fun filled day in our new Santa Fe Midtown Innovation District try some out -of -the -ordinary fun at Meow Wolf, lunch at Duel Brewery,  an afternoon of Chocolate Immersion with us and an evening performance at Adobe Rose Theatre.
